Rock Hard Granite has been fabricating and installing countertops in the Tri-Cities since 2012. We’re a team of about 10 people based in Richland, WA — and we do one thing well: custom stone countertops, from selection to installation.
Owner Fermin Mercado didn’t start behind a desk. He started in the shop — cutting, fabricating, and installing countertops alongside the crew. He joined Rock Hard Granite around 2014, became shop manager in 2020, and bought the business in 2025.
That hands-on background shapes how the company runs today. Fermin is still involved in day-to-day operations, still accessible to customers, and still focused on the same thing that got him into this trade: doing quality work for people who care about their homes.
We fabricate and install granite, quartz, and natural stone countertops for homeowners across Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, and the surrounding Tri-Cities area. Our core work includes kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, shower walls, fireplace surrounds, and outdoor kitchens.
Everything is fabricated in our Richland shop using CNC equipment and laser templating. We don’t outsource fabrication, and we install with our own crew. From the first measurement to the final install, the same team handles your project.
